Built is 1873 Doncaster Corn Exchange was later to be discovered to be built upon a medieval Graveyard of St Mary Magdalene which is no longer there.
Originally it was built for what it was named, selling corn and pulses, but in the wake of the Great Depression of British agriculture the use of selling corn declined. It was then decided to host events in the building and even welcomed the likes of Winston Churchill to give a talk.
in 1967 it was decided to become the main indoor market for Doncaster but following a major fire in 1994 the Grade 11 listed building had to go through a huge restoration.
it was during this restoration that they unearthed as many as five bodies believed to date back to medieval times after archaeologists were called in. A decision was made that rather than disturb them anymore, they left them in peace and filled the new floor without disturbing any more unearthered bodies.
The building today has shops as well as a huge events area, with adjoining market stalls and cafes.
Simply Ghost Nights will be the first company to investigate this historical landmark. Traders tell us no one likes going in first to unlock their shops if they are alone, staff have reposted areas that gives you a chill to the spine, and a man has been seen running throughout the hall many times.

Your ghost night commences with a brief chat about what you may experience as a ghost hunter on the night and how to use all our ghost hunting equipment whether you are using the spiritual or scientific the equipment, you are free to use any of the ghost hunting equipment as you attempt to interact with the spirit world.
On your ghost hunting night and paranormal investigation we do not waste your time or money talking about ourselves on a ghost hunt or taking you on a tour of the building to pass time. What we do is utilise every minute possible into providing our guests with an amazing most haunted experience, at a most haunted venue or location in the U.K, after all it is simply your ghost night.
